Abstract

The knowledge of infection control practices among healthcare workers plays a critical role in preventing healthcare-associated infections and safeguarding patient well-being. This research paper aims to explore the multifactorial factors that influence the knowledge of infection control practices among healthcare workers. The study will adopt a mixed-methods approach, incorporating quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews or focus groups. Healthcare workers from various healthcare settings will be included to capture a diverse range of perspectives. The quantitative phase will involve administering a structured questionnaire to assess healthcare workers' knowledge of infection control practices, including hand hygiene, sterilization, disinfection, isolation precautions, and safe waste management.
