A Study on the Impact on Education by the Catholic Society of Goa

Abstract

Why is education crucial?  More than anything else, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child recognizes education as a legal right. (UNICEF, undated) A nation may compete in the global market and develop economically if the quality of the workforce rises as the population educates itself. (US Department of Commerce) Unfortunately, poverty prevents people from completing their education, and this has created a vicious circle which could help the economy expand. Christianity is a minority community in India but has made commendable contribution to the education of the masses, irrespective of gender, religion, language, socio-economic-intellectual conditions of an individual.
