Educational content derived from the educational newsletter Rawdaty Mostagbaly (My Kindergarten My Future) addressed to female kindergarten teachers in Jordan
Abstract
The improvement of pedagogical approaches and staff development are essential for modern education to develop students in all fields. To achieve this, it is necessary to activate the role of pedagogical supervision and help teachers in developing their professional skills. This research examined the educational newsletter, Rawdaty Mostagbaly (My Kindergarten My Future), which was published by the Department of Childhood in the Ministry of Education of Jordan. The study analyzed all nine educational bulletins issued between 2007 and 2015 and identified nine key areas, including educational, intellectual, health, ethical, religious, national, social, aesthetic, and economic. The study found that educational and intellectual content were the most prevalent areas, but there was a lack of balance in the content throughout the publication. The study suggests that there is a need to provide more balanced and comprehensive educational content in the newsletter to address the educational needs of female kindergarten teachers.
